 Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to provide services for the creative design, scene fabrication, and remote or onsite implementation of XPression real-time graphics and graphics packages. This position will have an emphasis on sports venue deployment. Candidates for consideration will be responsible for the execution of and/or participation in Ross Creative Services activities, including but not limited to: Administrative:Meetings and conference calls as required to scope, complete, or otherwise to facilitate successful completion of assigned projects as they relate to the job. Design & Build: Designs XPression templates and animations from scratch, using native XPression tools and 3rd-party graphics applications such as Cinema 4D and Adobe Suite. Creates XPression templates using provided base graphic elements – such as 3D models, still images, and clips. Creates packages that conform to standardized workflows outlined by the Director of Creative Services.  Animation: Leverages the XPression animation toolset to create dynamic real-time animations. Utilizes rendered animation from 3rd-party applications in combination with real-time XPression animation to enhance the end product.  Automation: Ensures appropriate automation hooks are created for outside control. Utilizes XPression Visual Logic and scripting for automated, dynamic templates. Sets up XPression Datalinq to pull in external data feeds and interface with scoreboard systems. Uses Ross Dashboard to create backup manual user interface panels for XPression automated graphics.  Documentation: Works with Ross team members to create style and operational guides for end users. Documents any custom scripting methodologies to ensure future support from Ross. May be required to create project style-guides of assets.  On-site Implementation: May assist Lead Designer in occasional visits to customers’ sites to implement and integrate graphics packages Remote to client site via FTP, VPN, and/or other remote diagnostic tools  Job Requirements:  Knowledge/Education/Training: Post-secondary degree or trade school diploma New grad or 1-2 years of Graphic Design experience Knowledge of basic graphic design principles Knowledge of broadcast creation software (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Nuke, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Maya, etc.) Knowledge of broadcast graphics workflows Knowledge of broadcast production & IT workflows Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Visio           Traits: Sports fan Creative mindset Aptitude for animation and choreography of movement Organized and very detail orientated Self-starter and quick learner with the ability to work under minimal supervision Team-oriented Excellent communication skills Strong interpersonal and observational skills Enthusiastic High tolerance for ambiguity Problem solver Able to work co-operatively with Ross and end users  Experience: Sports venue experience or equivalent Broadcast production experience (studio or remote) is desirable Basic computer programming experience in VB, SQL, XSLT, and/or JAVA is not required but is a plus  Other: Willing to travel on a project-by-project basis, approximately 10% of the time.   WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGReporting to the Test Development Manager, this position is located in Iroquois. Using information from customer-facing processes, your role is to assess, analyze and initiate repair on return cases while recording data which becomes the backbone of information to enact improvements at all levels of the organization.  You will follow prescribed processes for data collection and product reclamation while having the latitude working with the Manager to create test plans to best confirm customer complaints, and start our understanding of the real root causes of problems.  The department will work directly with the varied Ross stakeholders to maximize data effectiveness for both inbound and outbound activity, with the mindset that accurate data provides appropriate and targeted feedback which allows for optimum results.   DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITY Process RMAs using established processes and procedures while faithfully trying to reproduce the customer complaint. Identify and record issues to the root cause Interact with various Ross departments to gather detail case information and product details with regards to operation, design, and test. Interact with Tech Support techs for additional customer feedback When needed, interact with R&D and Test Development regarding current PV regiment and test plans. In depth understanding and accurate execution of RMA processes and tools Due diligence in ensuring product identification at all levels are accurate and representative. Provide RMA feedback through an approved reporting mechanism. Assist RMA Coordinators in identifying incoming product Follow company policies and procedures Perform other related duties as required   JOB REQUIREMENTS   Knowledge Broadcast equipment operation (see Ross portfolio for examples) Strong understanding of video/audio test equipment along with industry standards (ie: SMPTE). Network configuration experience Asset Electro-mechanical test, configuration and debug. Server architecture and software Experience/Skills 3+ years as a Test Technician, Technical Support Specialist or PV Specialist  (Ross Video positions) or other related positions within Ross Proficiency at system level troubleshooting and debug. A comprehension of Ross Video’s portfolio. Strong understanding of product identification, revision, lifecycle and structure at all levels. Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems. Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel.   Education A University degree or College diploma which complements the knowledge set required or equivalent experience.   TRAITS Passionate about technology and energized by the challenge of learning new things. The XPression Broadcast Manager is accountable for ensuring the success of all aspects of Ross Mobile Productions involving XPression, Carbonite and Dashboard. Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability: In this role you will be a live game operator and provide services for the creative design, scene fabrication, and remote or onsite implementation of XPression real-time graphics and graphics packages. You will be responsible for the execution of and participation in RMP activities, including but not limited to: Administrative: Meetings and conference calls as required to scope, complete, or otherwise to facilitate successful completion of assigned projects as they relate to the job. Serves as primary graphics contact between Networks and Ross MP, to ensure all graphic elements are correct and secured for all Ross MP productions.  Live Game Operator: Operates selected games for Ross MP. As needed, will train other XPression operators to improve their performance. Assume the role of lead XPression broadcast operator for Ross MP.  Design & Build: Designs XPression templates and animations from scratch, using native XPression tools and 3rd-party graphics applications such as Cinema 4D and Adobe Suite.
